Since I am a painter, different types of pencils and tools have always been a part of my life. However I believe that the root cause of the pencil shaving collar comes with my focus on the literature accessories, especially after designing the typewriter brooch. I think there are interconnections between my consecutive designs like circles of a chain. I came up with the Pencil shaving collar as if I was following the path of my tools' designs.
I like the smiles on peoples' faces when they perceive objects out of their scale and context, such as big objects exhibited as small, or little things as big sizes like this pencil shaving collar does with its 'larger than life' scale.
