1960's Dupioni Silk Mini Dress Coat - Pale Blue Lace BeadedTwo Piece Set
Beautiful 1960's cocktail party dress coat set.
Hollywood Regency MOD Luxe!
Pale blue with a hint of green Dupioni silk with gorgeous overbeaded lace!
Sleeveless mini shift dress
with white lace collar and wide yoke.
Collar is slightly high and fitted at the neck.
Lace has a lovely floral pattern with overstitched embroidery
and silvered glass beading with clusters of beads
and aurora borealis cut glass crystals.
The lace is backed with beige netting.
Shelf bust.
Back zipper.
Lined in white organza.
Long sleeved coat
has a dramatic high cowl pointed collar.
The coat has hooks along the inside of the collar
that fasten along the lace on the dress...
keeping the coat at a fixed open position...

Long gorgeous sleeves that end in points
with hanging crystals over the top of the palms...
have the same lace, embroidery and beading as the dress.
Lining is in the same pale blue dupioni silk.

Exellent vintage condition. This garment had been altered. The dress was taken in a touch and the bust was raised so you can faintly see where the original seams were. The coat was made wider at the bust with a descreet insert on the inside along the side seams from the underarms about 10". there is a very faint ouch of underarm staining on the dress... really very little and with the normal fold of the arm hardly noticeable.
The difference in color on the split image is only due to the photography and not apparent in the garment which is the same pale blue/green fabric in both dress and coat.
