->Solar Lights: The original Mason Jar Solar Light sold here since May 2010! These handmade Solar Lids twisted onto jars, add a beautiful accent light to your outdoor space.
I invented the twist-on solar lid. You'll find knockoffs created by gluing but I'm proud of my design, that is made secure, & designed to hold up to outdoor conditions! I've had my solar jars outside for over 2 years now, and they are still going strong!
No electricity needed, just set outdoors in the sun to charge and watch them glow at night!
-->Basket/Carrier: This is one of my FAVORITE ways to carry my Solar Light jars! If I want to use them in an area that doesn’t get much sun during the day, I carry the basket of Solar Jars to a sunny location and then move them back at night. My brother and I dug this carrier from a dilapidated shed that was on a century old dairy farm. It used to carry milk and now it can hold your Solar Light jars, flowers, or storage jars!
-->Other Uses: Flower arrangements for the home,weddings or friends. Divided storage in the kitchen. Silverware holder for entertaining. Candle basket centerpiece. A NEAT way to display your canned goodies..... I love being able to twist off the solar light lids, bring the jars inside and use them for different purposes. Then set them back outside with the lights twisted back on, and let them light up the night.

*Metal Basket: 7x7x10 . This antique metal basket does show it's age with some wear. I leave mine outside all of the time and it does fine in the weather conditions, just continues to age.

Answers to some common questions about the Solar Light LIDS:(written by treasureagain)

*The Solar light is automatic. Comes on at night and goes off when sun charge runs out.
*These are rain tolerant. I designed them so they can be left outside. No Glue Involved!
*The solar lids twist onto the jar securely!
*The light brightness & how long it lasts depends on the amount of outdoor sun/charge it gets.
*The LED bulb and solar panel are in the lid. Reflective globe seen in jar, comes with lid.
*When package arrives, lights need to charge outside in full sun before getting the full affect.
*Replacement Rechargeable Ni-Cd Batteries available in hardware stores or online.
*If you experience dim light, the lids need more outside sunlight to charge.
*These lights will NOT charge inside on a window sill.
*I include instructions.
*Clear inner globe is optional,
*If you use as a night light indoors, they have to be placed back OUTSIDE to get recharged.
*Place them in an area with no obstructions overhead, to get the best results. If you place them in an area with filtered light (shade,trees,etc..)they will produce less glow at night.
*Remember this EASY TIP.........These are SOLAR lights, and need sunlight to charge. The more light you give them, the longer they will shine.**
