Jolly is completely hand built using slabs and coils from freeze resistant high fire stoneware clay and is an original, one of kind creation. He stands 13 inches tall and is 5 ½ inches wide and weighs 1 ½ pounds. I used only an earthy, organic brown pottery stain on Jolly to make sure none of his detail would be lost.
Jolly would adore living in your garden but would be equally at home on your front porch, mantle or shelf. He is so jubilant he would be contented just about anywhere.

A note about using garden art effectively;
Here is some advice on using garden art that I read in my Horticulture magazine:
To make the most of artwork in your own garden, think about the predominant colors, shape and size of your plantings. Artworks can blend with all or any of these details for a cohesive, quiet effect, or stand in contrast to them for a bold statement. Very vivid or oversized art can detract from plants-, which you actually may desire at certain times of year. Small art and objects might seem inconsequential but don’t pass them over too quickly. They’re perfect for a close area, such as a doorstep garden, or among spring flowering bulbs, rock garden plants and groundcovers.
