The debut of Hollywood's first spoken drama theatre, El Captain, opened on May 3, 1926. The showing was of THE CHARLOT REVUE starring Jack Buchanan, Beatrice Lillie and Gertrude Lawrence. This doll was given out to the rich and famous that night...the first comers to this grand event.
