I used an antique lamp shade and upcyced it as pictured. It had some old silk and lace on it and I added more lace, satin, ribbons, and a handmade applique. I have sewn together a old lace cover for the long black cord and it also has a short chain for hanging. It can also be removed easily.

It is about 16 inches wide and 14 inches tall. The light is bright and looks great when it is plugged in too. The shade is about 100+ years old but the light fixture is fairly new. It has a heavy duty cord too. The embellishments that I added are also all antique with a few vintage remnants too.
