Maple wood stripe
Walnut wood stripe
Cherry wood handle
Sealed with Salad Bowl Finish
This large spoon would be a great gift for someone who loves to cook using hardwood spoons. This striking design is made from maple, cherry and walnut, carved out into the spoon you see above. It has a long handle and large face. The spoon is designed to use daily. The walnut is dark and almost black, the cherry has a slight red tint to it. The maple is the light colored wood.
The face tapers in a classic design into that handle. It has an elegant look. This particular style is one of my favorite to make. It is your classic cooking and serving spoon. The finish is great too. Cherry makes for great kitchen use. The striped spoon will look great serving any mashed potatoes or green beans for thanksgiving. See the picture with the ruler to understand the size.
The end is more flat than the average spoon. This works great for scooping from the bottom of a pot. I try to make my spoons strong enough to use in daily cooking.
This particular spoon is coated with salad bowl finish which was designed for wood products that come in contact with food. It makes it easy to clean and keep sanitary. It also looks great after washing and the finish helps protect the wood. Avoid leaving it in boiling water will help to prolong the glossy finish.
I take great pride in my wood working. I enjoy making a variety of spoons and spatulas. I hope that you enjoy using it as much as I have enjoyed making it. Each spoon is signed by myself.
