The light green color of the Araucana chicken egg (shown in the second and third photos) reveals a much paler contrast than dark brown eggs do when etched. On the front oval of the green egg I added the dachshund as requested by a client.

Any simple element: a silhouette, an initial, date, or phrase would make a nice design. Contact me with your ideas and I will provide a sketch for your approval. The finished piece will be available here in my etsy shop reserved for you!
To allow for variations in my schedule - especially during holiday seasons - please allow me 4 to 6 weeks to complete and prepare your order for shipping.
Each decorated egg is a wonder of nature, a rare and beautiful work of art. No two eggs are ever exactly alike.
Victorians, fond of ornamentation, decorated their eggs with snippets of daily life: trade cards, ribbons, beads, and bits of old lace. The eggs I create today are etched or carved in patterns reminiscent of fine Victorian lace, and so I call these delicate, dainty works of art Victorian Lace Eggs.®
