The electrical cord helps fashion this tilt hat to your head/hair-do. It will lightly cradle your head (depending on head size) and works best if the cord is integrated within your up-do. For example, a high messy bun would look SUPER RAD... you could sandwich the cord between between some strands of hair before you tie your bun off at the top of your head.
