This is an 8.5"x11" original mixed media painting on wood titled "Little Crane No.1" This painting was created with my own photography - I took this photograph in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia while on a road trip through the Appalachian Mountains. Walking alongside an offshoot of the Shenandoah River I saw this little crane... he stood on his log and quietly watched me while I took photos of him for quite a while :)
One line of rural poet and nature love Sam Water Foss' poem appears on this painting, reading "The woods were made for the hunters of dreams, the brooks for the fishers of song."
"Little Crane No. 1" also uses image transfer, acrylic paint, book pages, old letters and found paper. It measures approximately 8.5"x11" on a rough wood slab with bark (lightly sealed for protection). The painting area is sealed with an archival semi-gloss varnish. It is signed and titled on the back and will arrive ready to hang with a small saw tooth hanger on the back - no framing necessary!

This painting is very carefully packaged and ships via USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance. Unfortunately I believe this item can only be shipped within the United States.
