Extremely desirable and wonderfully delightful large talking hard plastic Miffy alarm clock. After Dick Bruna, Citizen, Japan, 1970.

Whistling and speaking in Japanese. I believe when the alarm first goes off it says ' wake up" and on the third alarm it says 'wake up you are in trouble'

Works perfectly. In excellent condition. Runs on 3 (included) AA batteries. approx. 13.5" H

Marked: “Miffy Citizen Quartz alarm”, “Illustration Dick Bruno, copyright Mercis b.v., 1970″ and labelled.

Miffy was created in 1955 after Dutch artist Dick Bruna had been telling his one-year-old son Sierk stories about a little rabbit they had seen earlier in the dunes, whilst on holiday.

Miffy celebrated her fiftieth birthday in 2005. This was celebrated in cities and galleries across the globe. She also serves as a "celebrity character spokesperson" for Unicef
