For this card case I used fun retro feel fabric on the outside. The background is a soft yellow with random retro dots and lines all over. The orange dots and lines, with the green accent really pops on the yellow background. Very cool retro vibe! For the inside I used a coordinating oregano green cotton solid.
I used a heavyweight interfacing on the inside, giving this card case extra stability and durability. I then stitched around the entire card case using a coordinating cotton thread.
To secure the front flap, I used a strip of leather and a plastic button. Just wrap the leather around the button and off you go—the leather grips the button and holds securly!
The uses for this type of card case are almost endless! A few ideas: business cards, credit/debit cards, I.D.s, bus passes, cash, gift cards, band-aids, photos, library cards and the list goes on!
