A bit of history on the Irish cross (thanks to wikipedia) The popular legend is that these crosses were introduced by St Patrick when he converted the Irish. Irish monks started erecting stone crosses as early as the 7th century across Ireland.
I have always been proud of my Irish heritage, and have enjoyed working on something from that history. This suncatcher can be used at St Patrick's day, but also throughout the year for those who enjoy the celtic designs, or who want a symbol of faith.
All my glass pieces are made using the Tiffany method of copper foil and solder, along with my own imaginings. Each piece will be unique because of the variance of patterns within the glass, and the handmade quality. More of my items can be viewed here http://www.fivesparrows.etsy.com
