This piece of art is so gorgeous I didn't have to put flowers in the vase.This happy light bright painting will light up any room. I built this hardboard substrait with wood frame bracer on back. I properly prepared the hardboard surface in stages for quality assurance. I then hand painted the abstract Botanical Urn. I used a charcoal pencil for mark making. Creating a painting on a hardboard surface is very different than painting on canvas. Flat, smooth with no drag. Any thick paint and mediums I used contrasts better on this sort of surface. The finished creation is strikingly different. The look is clean, crisp and fluid. I forgot how beautiful the result can be. The colors are created totally from nature and would be great for your vacation home.
