This embellished human organ symbolizes seeing through one's heart. Glass beads, vintage glass stones, coral, and old metal sequins cover the surface of this piece. The eye is an antique hand blown human prosthetic eye. All of these materials have been adhered using a mosaic process. After years of placing eyes within the form of a symbolic heart, I wanted to take the concept a step further and use an anatomical heart. You can see this work in progress at BYART on facebook. "Four" can be displayed on a flat surface or hanging on a wall. There is a hole for hanging on the back.
