in white lace. The dress features an illusion bodice, the decollatage
and sleeves are unlined while the remainder of the bodice is double
lined in white taffeta. The sheer section is adorned with a few aurora
borealis sequins. The skirt is extremely full and made with tiers of
lace running down each side and the back with a flat panel in front.
The length is graduated so it is a little shorter in front and extends
to a short train in back. The skirt has layers of tulle under each lace
tier, a full taffeta lining and a built-in tulle crinoline underneath the
lining. The dress closes with a back metal zipper.
condition: Excellent! I have seen many, many vintage wedding
dresses and I can say with all sincerity that it is rare to find one
in such nice condition as this. It has very, very faint yellowing on
the inside of lining at the underarms. The lining is double-sided
and the yellowing is only on the inside layer so it absolutely
does not show through at all. There is also a little surface dirt
on the underside of the train, where it rests on the floor. This is
also unseen and should clean up very well. I have not had the
dress drycleaned but it is not otherwise soiled or smelly.
