Either way he is a functional sculpture. He has an opening of 5 inches for that ball of yarn and for height his ears just pass 14 inches. Llama's body was thrown as a cylinder, altered for his legs and carved front toes. His neck was also thrown then added as was his hand worked head. Turn him over and you will find a medallion with the word "knit" impressed. I think you will agree--he is quite the guy to have around.
