The colors include an array of greens, brown, cream, white and a little bit of black. The wood surface of the guitar shows through in the outlines of the cut-out shapes.
I made the pick guard from mahogany laminate material. The headstock has been altered and features a silver colored metal accent piece.
It was based on a previously owned instrument which I have dismantled, cleaned, sanded, decoupaged, otherwise modified and applied numerous coats of sealer to. The back and sides have been left in their original (very good) condition. This guitar has been around for about 30 years and has a fair number of scratches and some dings too, but the guitar generally looks great and is a solid, well built instrument which has just had a major facelift.
The guitar has a really wonderful sound. If you research this model you will find many people talking about it. It is a fairly compact guitar and is very comfortable to hold.
The tuners are nicely made. The neck is straight and the action is good. It comes with a super cool faux alligator skin case which fits it like a glove. The case is in good condition and has an intensely blue interior lining which contributed to the titling of this guitar, since when it is in the case it appears to be immersed in water, so "Fern Immersion".
