I created this antler basket with a lot of earthy elements I have purchased and gathered.
7 1/2" x 11" x 7" High
The whitetail deer antler is the handle and focal point. The ribs are reed. The weaving materials are vine rattan, blue seagrass, hay baling twine and sisal that I have dyed in shades of blue, and coconut fiber in a very dark navy. Signed.
I have been making baskets since 1981, and this adirondack rib-style basket is my favorite style. The rib basket has been called 'the cadillac of baskets' because it is very difficult to master. It is the first style I learned and has always come easy for me.
This basket has a myriad of uses. It is a good size for table decor, but can also lend itself in other practical ways as well.
