This jacket is a sort of victorian / edwardian style. It has the short bodice portion like many of the older jacket and waistcoat styles of the early 1800's and is long and has pleats in the back. It is solid in the back, not like a tailcoat. It is double breasted and has broad lapels and a high standing collar - it reminds me of the ones in Jane Austen movies! It is a linen-look fabric in a beige color with very faint vertical stripes. The cuffs, collar, and decorative tabs at the waist are a gold and beige brocade. The jacket is fully lined. The large bronzy-colored buttons have a floral design. Cream colored trim and beige piping adorn the cuffs and collar. A very dashing jacket indeed!
The size is a men's medium/large, but as pattern sizes tend to differ from modern sizing, here are the measurements it will fit: Chest 40"-42" Waist 36"-38"
The sleeve length is 23". The bodice portion from base of neck (in back) is 18.5" and the full length of the jacket in back from base of neck to hem is 52"
