I created this hot pad using a very old technique called locker hooking.
Using rug canvas and good quality fabrics such as the batik I used in this one
quilters fabric, calico and homespun fabric and sometimes muslin.

Two would make a great set of snack mats !

As you can see in the pictures, the trim(outer edge) is a darker batik fabric with
a little darker deeper colors. The combination of colors in this one is beautiful.

More fabric goes into my collection than the standard pot holder but you will
have them for a life time.
