I made the honeycomb with fine silver precious metal clay (.999% silver content, versus .925% as found in sterling silver.) Each hexagon shape is individually imprinted into the clay one by one, with a small hexagon stamp that I made myself. After the design is formed and cut, it is dried, sanded, and then fired in a kiln. I then follow a finishing process of burnishing, oxidizing, buffing, and polishing the charm. The honeycomb charm measures 3/8-inch (1cm) long.
There is a tiny sterling silver bee hanging next to the charm, which measures a little bit under 3/8-inch (1cm) long.
The total length of the necklace, on oxidized sterling silver chain, measures 17-inches/43cm with a spring clasp closure and an additional 1-inch extension chain.
