His plaque was completed in several steps. First, I designed the piece, hand cutting each piece of glass. I then piece the glass together to create a unique, one of a kind, glass picture.
The next step requires firing the piece flat in a kiln at 1470 degrees over a period of 14 hours. After cooling, holes were drilled and wire and beads were added. The entire process usually takes 2-3 days.
This glass is heavy and quite durable but should be handled carefully. It should last for many years. I do recommend hand washing it. I have photographed it outside in natural light in the shade. The last photo was taken indoors with a flash. This piece is made of bright opaque and transparent glass in shades of blues, greens, brown, red, orange, and yellow on an off-white background.
I will safely package and ship this glass plaque.
