My wood mobiles are carefully crafted right here in my smoke-free home studio in Southern California. I cut all pieces out of solid wood (poplar and pine) - meaning no plywood or composite pieces containing harsh glues or chemicals. Made of durable wood, my mobiles can be easily dusted (as opposed to paper or fabric mobiles) and will continue to look every bit as wonderful as the day they were hung for years to come. I also construct the 12-inch wide wooden hangers myself. I sand and shape each piece of wood individually before adding my own original drawings. The mobile pieces are then sealed with a high gloss varnish. Twine or plastic line is knotted to metal eyelets that have been screwed into the wood pieces, making all connections extra secure. Most mobiles weigh between 1-1/2 to 2 pounds, depending on the style. They can easily be hung from the ceiling using a screw hook WITH an anchor - available at most home improvement stores. My mobiles are not toys, so please keep hanging mobiles out of reach of infants, toddlers and children. Most mobiles hang about 30" from ceiling to bottom. Please feel free to let me know if you would like to adjust this length.
