The sturdy dull gold double band that holds the headdress is elasticized at the base of the neck for a snug, comfortable, pinch-free fit. The second band fits gently around the back of the head to ensure nothing slips and adds an extra visual accent along the lines of an ancient Greek headdress. The whole piece has been dancer-tested to make sure it will stay firmly in place during a performance, dance or wild party. Made securely by a dancer (that's me, folks) who knows just how important it is to have all parts of a costume strong and secure! Despite its intricacy, it is lightweight, easy to wear and hard to break. It will come carefully packaged to protect the feathers from bending.
