So the embroidery is on black velvet and is luscious as any I have seen. The bottom ruffle isn't particularly fine but it completes the outfit. Between 36-37" inches in length. The ruffle can easily be removed (as they do for cleaning). So the skirt could be a cocktail length of about 25/26".
The ribbon at the waist is about 30" but adjusts as you tie it on - is easily adjustable if you want to make the waist larger or smaller by replacing this ribbon.
The price reflects the quality and the vintage of these skirts which now cost about $2000 to have made as they take at least 6 months of work. Not many women in this area embroider this finely and machine embroidery will soon replace them. So is it will soon become a thing of the past. VERY collectable.
