I remember as a kid collecting acorns fallen from oak trees, they were like treasures!
So in honor of the beautiful oak nuts, I made this lovely necklace! I cast an acorn cap in sterling silver and as a nut, I turned a piece of american walnut on a lathe to the shape of an actual acorn. I oxidised the cap to showcase it's natural texture. Again, this is a mix of my 2 favorite medias and an homage to nature which never stops to amaze me!!
The acorn is about 1" high by 7/8" wide and hangs on a 30" sterling silver chain, it has a nice weight and falls beautifully. This piece is a real eye catcher!! :)

*Wood and water are no good friends, make sure to avoid contact between them. To renew the shine of the nut, you can oil it every so often, it will love it! :)
