These cups are thrown on the potters' wheel and hand painted on the outside with a black bird motif. The inside is glazed in a deep teal hue, creating contrast with the creamy outside that is simply finished in a glossy transparent glaze.
The handles are hand sculpted and applied to the cup sides: they are just the right size to fit your index and middle fingers so you can grab them easily and enjoy your coffee or tea when it is still hot. You can also pile them in your cupboard and have more room for your favorite biscuits!
They are ergonomic, elegant, and a great way to start your day: these cute birds will surely set you in the right mood for an inspiring day.
Each measures approximately 3" (8cm) in diameter and 3" 1/2 (9cm) in height, and holds 8 oz. circa.
Please note this listing is for ONE CUP and it is ready to ship. Please also note every piece is made and painted by hand, so expect small differences in size and design from the one pictured.
I make functional pottery and all my pieces are lead-free and food-safe. They are also dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand washing and no microwave use will prolong the life and beauty of your piece.
