The shape of this purse pretty much begged to be Boba, first with the green color. I distilled the basic elements of the Boba helmet down to simple shapes. The front pocket forms his distinctive eye slit on the helmet. I incorporated the antenna as part of the shoulder strap.
Boba is hand-painted by me (that's five years at art school working for ya) with professional-quality acrylic paint, and sealed with UV-protective satin coating. I wanted to take nice purses and make them even more special by painting them.
The bag is a light, minty green and made of vinyl. It's in pretty good shape and I get the sense that it's from the 70's, but I can't be sure. Inside, it is clean and very roomy. The fastening is like a change purse in the center with an open pocket each side of the center section. There is a zippered pocket in the interior. On the outside is a pocket that is incorporated into Boba's face.
