This book clutch is made from a leather bound classic version of Sense and Sensibility. The books have been hollowed out on the inside to create the 'purse' and lined with beautiful coordinating fabric. Magnets are added in order to keep the book closed. The integrity of the book is still intact and thus it still looks very much like a book and could and will fool the best of them. I work very hard at keeping the books looking just like the books they were in their prime, only this time with a different purpose hidden inside.

Sense and Sensibility has been given a new life as a hollowed book clutch. From the outside this classic book appears to be a just a beautiful leather book. The cover is Lovely springtime green with light tan and white floral accents.
Like all of my hollow books this treasure has been glued with archival bookbinding glue to secure all of the interior pages and then carved from the inside out to form a large square. The inside of the book is lined with a sweet springtime green and white plaid-like striped print. A small pocket has been added to the inside of the front cover to hold small sundries. Silky matching ribbon borders the fabric lined interior. Small magnets lie in the middle of front and back covers to help keep the book closed.
