Two hand-sculpted tiny mushroom caps in shades of brown, tan and white.
These mushroom caps are sculpted by me without the use of any commercial molds or forms, and the pins are cured right into the clay during the baking process. They are then hand-painted with several 'washes' to get the realistic layers of color, and a light sanding in tiny spots reveals the cream and white colors underneath. The last photo shows a group of mushroom caps that are drying after being painted.
Notes on terrarium use: I tested my mushrooms in my own planters, and regular daily watering didn't affect them at all. After two weeks, the painted details were intact and the pins themselves showed no signs of rust, so no worries!
****Please note****: The pins pictured here have already gone to a new home. While the ones you receive will look very similar to the ones pictured here, they won't be an exact copy -- they are each hand-sculpted and painted one at a time and may take up to ten days to be created especially for you.
These are made with new sewing pins and are 1.5 inches long.
