About Liebe is Jam:
Nicole Rutsch, the Fräulein behind the gourmet jam company Liebe is Jam was born and raised in Stadecken, Germany. As a young girl, she learned about canning fruit from her family’s farm and shared the art of making jams with her grandmother.
Since moving to New York City in 2001, Nicole has always dreamt of starting her own jam company. Inspired by her memories of munching on homemade jam and freshly baked bread with her grandmother, Nicole started creating her own jams, combining the traditional knowledge her grandmother provided with unique twists on classic flavors. After receiving rave reviews every time friends and family tried a new jLiebe is Jam concoction, Nicole decided it was time to take what her grandmother taught her and make her American dream a reality.
In 2011, Nicole started selling her jams on Etsy.com. Liebe is jam features traditional flavors like Raspberry, Blueberry, and Blackberry, in addition to delicious seasonal combinations like Strawberry Rhubarb with Rosemary, and Blueberry Lemon with Cinnamon. Every jar of jam is homemade with natural and locally-sourced ingredients and packaged in WECK jars from Germany.
With Liebe is jam, Nicole wants to take her passion for creating jam and introduce her product to consumers in a way that brings jam beyond the traditional bread and breakfast standard here in the United States. Her savoury creations like Strawberry with Coconut and Dark Chocolate and Dark Cherry with roasted almonds are great for dessert or as an addition to any cheese plate. You’ll even find Glüh-wine jam around the holidays, the traditional German Christmas flavor, which contains red wine, spiced cinnamon sticks, vanilla pods, cloves, and citrus.
