Lovely Art Deco necklace with an unusual seven-sided amethyst glass pendant combined with a filigree marcasite flower focal point. Altogether feminine with small amethyst baguettes alternating with sawtooth bezel set marcasite oval plaques, and completed by a silver tone paperclip chain. The floral engraved clasp is a squeeze hook safety clasp and adds a pretty finishing touch. The necklace is in fine vintage condition with the baguettes showing foil loss on the reverse. Though you can see this condition when held up to the light, it is unnoticeable when worn. Nicely detailed with a pattern on the setting for the baguettes. The glass pendant has a few minor nicks at the tips as you would expect for its age, as well as some tiny air bubbles from manufacture. I love the pendant shape and the way it was faceted with a large flat table so that as you look into the stone you see a five sided star. A very graceful, nicely proportioned piece! C. 1930’s.
