Size and Weight
-- Gems are always measured in Millimeter (mm), 1 inch = 25.4 mm
-- Dimensions are given as length x width x depth, except for round stones which are diameter x depth
-- Select gems by size, not by weight! Gem varieties vary in density, so carat weight is not a good indication of size
- The carat is a unit of mass equal to 200 mg
1ct = 200mg=0.2g =0.007 ounce
ctw Total Carat Weight
The picture are greatly enlarged to show details and stone size may vary slightly from piece to piece. It is the equivalent to viewing the stone under magnifying glass or microscope. We can see flaws visible that aren't visible to the naked eye.
Color may not appear as exactly in real life due to variation between computer monitors. The more important it is the gemstones and diamonds reflect 100 percent of the light falling on it back to the eye. So it give a harsh black reflections that we see on the photos.
