The Process:
These pieces are created in the hot shop, and then acid etched afterwards. This takes the shine off of the glass, and leaves a beautiful satin like finish. In addition, these pieces are made such that the bottom is weighty and provides a firm anchor for the piece. They are meticulously cold worked so they sit flat and secure. You can also purchase Museum Wax at your local hardware store (not the gel!), and just a dab of this will keep your piece safe and secure!
