Each slider has a very pleasant, subtle, pastel-like colors, and the material of this unit is some hard plastic-like material, possibly bakelite. Switches have a somewhat tight sliding action.
The piece has two minute chips on the edges - they are tiny - one on the right side (3mm), a couple along the bottom edge (rouhly 1mm) - visible in 3rd photo
Made by long-gone Decorative Switch Plate Corp, New York, USA, Patent number: 2,172,731 - Patent has a Filing date: Sep 28, 1937 & Issue date: Sep 12, 1939
Approximate Dimensions: 6 1/4" x 4 1/2", Each oval switch is roughly 2 1/2" x 11/2" & 1/2" deep ('thick')
