Black Walnut is a rich, rare and regal hardwood that never disappoints. This slab isgreat for a desk design with a super thick 2" slab, that will provide the kind of stability you would want in a multipurpose piece. It's really captivating with all the motion throughout the piece, little swirls that roll around small knots holes and some natural gray remnant from a nail that was likely hammered in 15 or 20 years ago. Truly beautiful.
Features:
-Small voids from where the tree grew around some metal (like a nail or bullet) which is why there are some dark spots.
-One beautiful small crack ("4) on the end, it's superficial to the structure but adds an authentic feel to the desk.
