Here is an unusual find: a rustic sandstone bowl from Poland. Stamped F.N.K. BOCHNIA on the bottom, the few bits of information i found (in polish, thank you google translate) say they were an earthenware manufacturer who started in the 1920's and reached their peak after WW2 and were well known for the quality of their utilitarian sandstone pieces. The interior of this piece is unglazed and has ridges scratched into the sides and bottom. The outside is glazed a rich chocolate brown. In very good vintage condition, there is one hairline crack about 1 inch long on the rim, but not visible unless you are looking right at it.
Measurements:
3 1/2 inches high and 8 inches across (9 cm by 20 cm)
