Antique lucky four-leaf clover brooch, circa late 1800s. Constructed of gleaming solid 14K gold (stamped on the back, and with a maker's mark) and enameled on the front in matte/satin black and adorned with a seed pearl in the center. Subdued and elegant little piece, likely originally used as mourning jewelry. Measures approximately 7/8" across, weighs about 0.1 ounces, and is in good condition for its age. There are a couple of shallow chips to the enamel along the edges that are hardly noticeable.
