ONE ROSE is constructed using wonderful Cabin Crafts vintage chenilles. The center oval showcases a single Cabin Crafts rose in three shades of needletufted pink as well as greens and a brown stem. Surrounding the rose are needletufted white loops in the shape of traditional featherstitches, giving a lacy look. I inset this oval into the square of large white pops, also by Cabin Crafts. This pillow front has been interlined, lined, batted and lined again. It has a lovely thickness to it. I then machine stitched/quilted around the oval to make it stand out even more. These additional steps add beauty and strength to handmade textile accessories.
The backside is white vintage chenille and is also lined. ONE ROSE has been sewn in slipcover fashion so that your 18 inch square insert can be removed and the pillow cover can be laundered using cool and delicate wash/dry cycles.
