I can see why Alice would follow this little fella down into his hole, where she would stumble into Wonderland for the first time! The White Rabbit was not only another brilliant character in Lewis Carroll's Wonderland but he was also essentially the portal into it. Because of that I have been searching since childhood for a white rabbit of my own. I love his little red double breasted pea coat and four polished gold buttons. A single coral rose is romantically tucked through a buttonhole, making him quite a picture. Of course an antique gold pocket watch rests in the palm of his agitated little white hand. I made sure to paint it in so he can observe the time and fuss over it.
This print is from my Alice in Wonderland Series "Down the Rabbit-Hole".
The borderless print measures 8"x10". Arriving eager to rest into any standard 8"x10" frame. So, it's ready to perch in its new home!
This print is made from an original painting by me, Gretchen Powers. Printed using a smooth Epson matte paper. It is archival, water-resistant, fade-resistant, and has a lovely richness to it!
The inks I employ are tested to not fade for at least 90+ years. So you can be together for a lifetime!
All prints are signed and dated by the artist. They will come in a cello sleeve, to arrive safely in your hands, within a stiff envelope.
