I find this vintage Hawaiian wedding dress to be just jaw-dropping - what a statement!! It is homemade of a soft, natural feeling cotton, in a very late-30s style semi-floral print of white on red. I'd date the dress to somewhere between 1938 and 1945, most likely a very early 40s creation. It has a holomuu style - known as a holoku when a train is added - with small ruffles at the neck and arms, and wider ruffle along the entire hem. It features a glorious 3' (yes, THREE FEET!) of train, and wonderful, flattering mermaid cut. If it was a hair larger, it would be coming with me to Viva Las Vegas. Getting married at VLV, the Hukilau or Tiki Oasis? I'm not sure I could imagine a better dress for it!
Length to End of Train: 93"
Condition: Very Good
This dress is homemade, and the selvage looks a bit rough in some places, but I find no other issues to note. It is clean and ready to wear! A stunning for sure.
