The inside cream-white glaze has a glossy finish and brown spots, the outside is left raw for the black clay to show all of its nice texture and natural white speckles. I hand painted the white hearts on the outside with a white underglaze: the decor was fired in the kiln and, although looking delicate, it is durable and washable.
It is a lovely little bowl that is looking for a home and that someone special to cheer up!
I make functional pottery and all of my pieces are food-safe and lead-free. They are also dishwasher and microwave safe, although I advise hand washing and no microwave use for this piece, as the outside is not glazed.
