This is a PDF pattern for a lightweight pram blanket made using ‘granny squares’ with a raised flower centre. Four squares are joined together and the blanket is edged with a delicate picot border.
A larger blanket can be made by simply increasing the number of squares made and joined.
Simple stitches are used (ss, dc, tr) although some skill is required for increases and decreases used to form petals. Pictures are included to explain stitches/methods.
The yarn I recommend is double knit (8-ply). Quantities as follows:
30g (90m) double knit in lemon (A)
55g (165m) double knit in white (B)
70g (210m) double knit in pale green (C)
Hook size 3.50mm (E)
The dimensions of the finished blanket with this yarn will be approx 20x20” (51x51cm)
You may find other yarns work just as well but you will need to use an appropriate hook - finished size may vary.
