i've fashioned another of my popular bracelet/necklace wraps - this one features a PMC precious metal clay (99% fine silver) hand stamped focal piece that says "present", reminding one's self to be aware of the moment. or, in another twist, to be a gift to one's self or to someone else. i've attached the silver word piece to two bits of hand dyed silk ribbon (from the collection of LAS fibers, my friend lorrie scott) in a lovely sea green/blue color (my favorite), sewn with a couple of antique mother of pearl buttons. there is a length of sea green/blue velvet, also from lorrie, hand sewn with antique czech bronze glass beads to a length of soft brown deerskin lace, and fastened with one of my cast sterling buttons. soft brown pearls are strung onto deerskin leather cord and knotted, then lashed with embroidery thread; a nugget of moss aquamarine joins a length of hand knotted faceted turquoise and smoky quartz, with some beautiful faceted milk aquamarine onion briolettes; there is also a length of amazonite knotted onto leather cord. dangling from the end of heavy sterling chain is a lovely peruvian opal briolette.
total length is 35", and can be wrapped quite a few times around the wrist, or once or twice around the neck. a very versatile and evocative piece.
