Not many stories have moved me as much as the ones written by Tolkien. They are filled with all of the emotions, depth and intricacy great stories have.
I have made this necklace to reflect my deeeepest love for Tolkien and the world he has created. I wanted to share it with you.
The pendant is solid mahogany wood and contains a detailed Hobbit door painted by me. I glazed it for long life and to give it a soft glisten. Brass components make up knob and hinges.
Since I use natural wood bezels, color variations are inevitable. Pic 1 depicts the current wood color which is slightly lighter than pic 2 bezel. You will be receiving a necklace in the LIGHTER wood color depicted in picture 1.
MADE TO ORDER for you, I will place much love and care into your necklace.
The bail is a leaf...to capture the essence of the Shire...green and lush. You can see the back of the piece depicting the bail in pic 5.
All antique vintage brass findings and chain are used.
Near the door, I have hung a green glass wire wrapped flower bead with a peridot colored aurora borealis crystal in the center. It will hang daintily like a Hobbit garden flower.
Please note that since the Hobbit door is painted by me, each one will differ slightly. The one you receive may not look exactly like the one in the picture, but I can assure you that I am a perfectionist and place a lot of care into my jewelry.
As with all jewelry, please handle this Hobbit creation with care. ♥
Please allow 5-7 days for delivery. Hobbit doors take a lot of time to detail, paint, varnish and to cure. The piece needs to "breathe" for at least 24-48 hours before I package it up.
