I went to the Stained Glass Museum at Navy Pier in Chicago and shot hundreds of photos of select stained glass installations with the idea of making kaleidoscope illustrations with them.
This particular image was created from a very large installation of stained glass from the early 1900s. I took a very small detail of the original piece (a 6" square from the original 8' x 12' installation) and manipulated it with digital filters to create this brilliant kaleidoscope of color.
These earrings are AMAZING in person!! Intricate patterns in all the colors of the rainbow - red, orange, pink, blue, yellow, green - and the beautiful end result turned into the shape of a flower.
They measure about 1" in diameter (25mm), with the image encased in waterproof hand cast resin. The lead and nickel free antiqued brass bezels have tiny zig-zag edging and dangle from handmade antiqued brass earwires.
Turn around time is a week to 2 weeks, depending on the number of orders I'm working on, unless an item is marked IN STOCK. Then it will be mailed out within days of your order. If you need this in a rush, please let me know before purchasing so we can make sure I can meet your deadline.
Definitely send me a SEPARATE CONVO if you need this on a deadline for a special event or gift, so we can both be sure I will be able to make it. Additional shipping costs may apply.
