I got it from one of my Indian silk suppliers. He is based in Varanasi and I meet him on annual silk fairs. The quality is amazing! The Benares silk is famous for it;s quality, this one has a tradtional pattern of flowers.
The colors used in this silk are gold and red. The shapes look like mango's hanging on a string. The mango's are in different shapes. Did you know that the paisley figure is in fact derived from the mango shape? In India it is called "aam" or "ambika". This particular shape shows the mango-paisley in a purer form.
This silk brocade is from a registered silk company in India, ensuring a good quality of silk.
