Because the claw of the Magpie is smaller than that of the (unwearably large) Raven, this ring is perfect for ladies, as it can be shaped for all sizes between 5 and 9. The third picture shows the ring in size 8. Smaller sizes have the two talons pass each other a bit.
Please keep in mind that I have kept all of the natural detail completely intact and the ring is bent in the same way that the bird would perch on a branch. This aspect of the design does not give it the same silky-smooth feel like standard polished jewelry. You feel a bird sitting on your finger!
I decided not to smooth down the inside for the sake of maintaining the natural texture and to keep the ring looking exactly as the claw itself did- this is a quality of detail that I have not seen offered among any other claw rings and is what I think makes the ring stand out.
I keep most of the natural sharpness of the talons, unless you prefer them to be dull.
You can order the ring polished or matte, or in an antique silver finish. Or just black everywhere.
