My father was a psychiatrist, and I've always had a fascination with the "trappings" of his trade. I grew up in a house full of freebies from drug companies: magnets, pens, clocks, even neckties. And I've always been a fan of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".
I inherited this genuine set of Hermann Rorschach ink blot plates and knew that they would look beautiful on some pottery.
I think they would look great as a set, either for daily use or as a decorative element on the wall. They truly are a great conversation piece.
Sold as an individual plate, but you get a nice discount on shipping if you buy another item.
The plates are commercial ware that I have "up-cycled".
They are lunch-size plates, bright white with a 1.5" rim. I've added a decal from my personal collection.
The plate then undergoes another firing in the kiln, to bond the decal to the work.
Decal is permanent.
Microwave and dishwasher safe.
